I think too many players put too much dark fiber in the ground or the oceans driving its price down below cost. Most of the new entrants will probably not survive; and their assets will go to the bigger, better financed players at pennies or fractions of pennies on the dollar.

Unless something happens to change the outlook for the sector, I doubt that TSIX will be a survivor. I just don't see any reason that would compel anybody to throw more good money after bad. After all, that same investment could be placed where there's a greater probability of a return.

And most people who have a spare $300M or so to invest, didn't get that way by making double or nothing bets. ALA already shared its outlook by writing off its loan to TSIX. And they would have far better insight than any of us on this thread.
