You are detail oriented, I can see that clearly. I'd simply typed in the URL into my SI composition screen and when it showed as a hyperlink in the edit page, I simply let it pass by. I'd bookmarked the site earlier and was relying on that for the address box, so, I may have frustrated you a tad, but the site really was down at the time I specified. :)
As regards how Steve Gibson can go about resolving this thing, I'd say some parents in America need to be told that they are raising (I use this term loosely) a generation of sociopathic brats. I loved Steve's answer to it all, just head down to the beach. Very level-headed. Too bad there appears nothing that he can do. I recall reading Cliff Stoll's "The Cuckoo's Egg", a few years back:

It's nice to see that nothing has really changed in human nature in the last 12 years. Still got the guys in white hats like Stoll and Gibson (and you I might add), and we've got the devious, deceptive and duplicitous. Kinda like the CEOs of Dynegy, Reliant, Williams, Mirant and Duke.... <w>

Originally, as you may recall, Steve thinks he was DDoSed simply because he called these punks "script kiddies". Apparently they couldn't take it like men. Now it's just a pissing contest like the Hatfiends & McCoys or the Israelis & the Palestinians.
