Many think Kurtzer helped formulate the USA decision to recognize Arafat/PLO as a legitimate partner for peace with Israel. It was Kurtzer who led the USA to believe that the PLO was a "moderate" group. He called PLO terrorists "guerrillas." I believe it was Kurtzer who even invented the term "land for peace"! Is that reason enough?
