Earlie -

...As I have been pointing out for a year, trucking activity is in linear descent. ...

This IS serious. If the descent were logarithmic, at least we would know that it couldn't pass through zero. But with a linear descent, we will go negative as there are just no brakes. It seems likely that none of us has seen the results of negative trucking activity, but the mere thought of truckloads of products being shipped back from consumers to the retailers, and from the retailers to the manufacturers is too horrible to contemplate. Even worse is all the fuel spillage that results as the trucks overflow their fuel tanks as they collect pollution from the air and restore it to fuel.

Regards, Don
