Hi Jay - maybe it's a triple secret thing? Tech stocks being a hedge against gold which is a hedge against tech? And so on, ad-infinitum but infinitely more subtle than my black-and-white example. Which with your chemistry chuckle brought to mind a different scenario. My onerous task, to clean up an aluminum baking pan of vastly over-baked chocolate chip cookies... What gets the black out? Mom uses bleach. Brute force logic led to totally unexpected consequences. Never forgotten. Not to be repeated! So here we are, adults yes, but educated in the workings of the financial world like kids are to cookies and cleaning stuffs... with our blackened tech stocks and our Chlorox gold and pouring one upon the other. This could work famously, or have us running fleeing, choking. I pause just before pouring to think briefly. John
