I think this must be interesting for local bulls with
regard to their claims about Rambus reliability.
However, the way how software handles the failure of
one chip (presumably) is pretty amazing.

I posted this question before but didnt get any replies...here it goes
again:
I have this new P-4,1.3Ghz,256MB RDRAM (2x 128),D850GB.
Everything was fine until 2 weeks ago when i got a blue screen error in
Windows...when i rebooted my computer it tells me that i have 224MB of rdram
instead of 256MB (shows me in windows and in the BIOS),i tried to replace
the rimms and got back 256MB..started windows 2000,got a blue screen
again...restarted my computer and.....dropped to 244MB again.
i tried to format my hdd (yeah like that would help),still having 224MB.
In the BIOS it shows me:
rimm1=128
rimm2=128
total=224
(damn if i can do math better then this)
can anyone tell me whats the problem?
Im using both Windows 2000 and Windows 98
Asus V-7700 Delux 64MB AGP card.
