"... Folks are going to be most surpised when the deficit closes before stockpiles run out and silver stays under $5. ..." My friend... You know that there has been many periods in the past when there was no deficit but rather a good annual surplus. Plus, inventories were much higher than what we have today. Still silver was trading much higher sometimes in the double digit range. The silver is such a small market that a little investor demand will change the price no matter what.
