On one hand he says let's clean up the air and water, on the other hand wants to de-regulate all dirty industry. How can we ever trust this man again?

You are living in the past. Haven't you been listening. This is NOT progressive. Mankind has developed technology capable of delivering fuels to an ever demanding population and it will be done. We will not go backwards or stagnate in the present. Fuels will be delivered to the masses and we will use all of it up, every chunk and drop. Try to have vision and get involved in that evolution. There is NO stopping it. Name calling and "getting even" is childish, get over it.
