Whether you accept western religion or not is often a matter of perspective. From the viewpoints expressed in your posts I can definitely see a difference in perspectives between you and I.
Here is what I think your perspective (complaint) on Western religions is: Please correct me if I am wrong.

There are two paths from which to choose. One path is filled with enticements and luxuries but if you go the full extent of this path you will be ensnared in an inescapable and horrible torture that never ends even unto death (Hell).

The other path leads to a garden of delight at its end. The path itself is one of duty and personal responsibility. The enticements of the first path being ever visible for those who would like to switch.

God repeatedly cautions us and places warning signs all along the paths regarding Hell. You see this as mean spirited and the idea as inconsistant with kindness and benevolence.

I see your perspective as:
Why not just let us have fun in our own ways and every body has nirvana in thier own time. Just let it be.
