It's definitely revealing the way you need multiple, multiple, posts in order to attempt to wiggle your way out of your accusation that I've lied.
As I've said before, I tried to give you a door in which to escape without further injury to your ego, but you've neglected to take advantage of it. Since you neglected to take advantage of the opportunity I gave you, I was forced (once again), to prove how your accusation of a lie, was bogus.
In point of technical fact, you have threatened two people on this thread. Using the first online dictionary which popped up in Google, I've proven my case beyond a shadow of a doubt. Yes, threats can mean the things you've ascribed they can mean. But, they can also mean many other things, involving many dimension beyond the scope of your black and white world. I believe you now recognize this as true, but are unwilling to admit how wrong you've been. That's the main reason you've elected to change the focus back toward your first accusation of a lie regarding the words multiple and numerous.
Since I've already walked you through a complete rebuttal of your claim that I lied about threats. I will now walk you through (using baby steps), a complete rebuttal of how incorrectly quoting me, and putting two words together changed the context of my words. Taking the words multiple and numerous by themselves can mean something quite different then when used together in a phrase.
As an example. There were "numerous" pairs of shoes left on the floor.
There were "numerous and multiple" pairs of shoes left on the floor.
In the first example, numerous could describe any number between 2 and whatever. In the second example, the context of the message has been changed which would lead the reader to believe many more than 2 were involved.
Now, let's take a look at the dictionary definition of the word multiple....
Multiple:
1 : consisting of, including, or involving more than one <multiple births>
2 : MANY, MANIFOLD <multiple achievements>
3 : shared by many <multiple ownership>
4 : having numerous aspects or functions : VARIOUS
5 : being a group of terminals which make a circuit available at a number of points
6 : formed by coalescence of the ripening ovaries of several flowers <a multiple fruit>
More than one, hmmm, you've already admitted that you placed the article on two separate threads, so in point of fact, you've admitted the word multiple has been correctly used and that you're in fact wrong. That clearly denounces your accusation regarding the word multiple. Not only are you wrong about this particular word, but you're wrong in a very obvious simplistic (dare I say, childlike way). LOL!
Now numerous:
: consisting of great numbers of units or individuals <born into a numerous family>; also : MANY <received numerous complaints>
This clearly is a subjective term which could describe any number one wishes above the singular. If one were to describe a birth, one might say, "Andrea, had numerous babies" and the vision could be any number above 1. Granted, it's typically used to describe far greater numbers, but in a technical sense it can be used to mean any number above 1. If I never received a complaint for years, and all of a sudden I received two, I could describe it as receiving "numerous complaints".
Now, to the specific case in point. I stated I saw you post the article on two separate threads and 3 shortened versions of it on this thread. Therefore, those words used by themselves in a technical sense work. In actuality, I may have chosen better terms, (notice I try once again to give you a face-saving way out), but to state it as a lie is utterly contemptuous of you.
As to your made up quoted phrase "on numerous and multiple threads." The context of the phrase has indeed changed. Few would recognize those two words placed together as potentially meaning two or more. Some might of course, but the context of the message has clearly changed. Obviously, it's been conveniently changed to favor your accusation.
No surprise to me why you attempted to do that.
Further, the fact that you had to make up a quote of mine in which to argue against, demonstrates the degree of insecurity you feel toward your position. I haven't had to make up quotes you've said in order to argue my position. Yet, you have. Care to take a guess as to why you would need to do such a dishonest thing E??
This one post will undoubtedly force you to create more 'multiple and numerous' posts in the future, in a futile attempt to save your fragile, fractured ego.
I realize it causes you great discomfort for me to actually use the dictionary when defending myself against your repeated desire to call me a liar. In a sense, I'm sorry it works so well to refute your personal E, black and white dictionary desired definitions.
