I didn't know that. I can understand safe driving, but there is a point that goes too far. That third tail light is for stupid, unattentive, drivers. It's kinda like what I had to have an electrician do before the spa could be installed. He had to cap off a double socket, and move it at least 5 feet away from where the spa would be. When I asked the spa guy why, he said it was so we could not put a TV, or radio, on the edge of the tub where it might fall in the water and electrocute us. It is the law to do that around here. For anyone to think I would be so stupid as to put an electric appliance in a position where it might fall into the water, is an insult. The law is also stupid, because if someone is bound to put a TV on the edge of his spa, he will get an extension cord and do it anyway.

Government cannot protect people from themselves.
