Fiber is being extended all the way to the home at an increasing rate.

Last week (as you know), Pacific Bell DSL was having major problems. I have a dial-in "back up" connection, and I couldn't believe how quickly I've become accustomed to using DSL, and how annoying it is to be using a dial in modem! Some of the "projects" I needed to do using the Internet, I just decided to put "on hold" until the DSL was working again.

Today I played in another tennis match, and as I was watching the other players a group of us were talking about the various ways we use the Internet. Different age groups and backgrounds were represented, and the comments were interesting. All of us have a high speed connection, and we all agreed that "going back" to dial in access would be "painful".

Thanks for the P & F charts you posted on your board....I appreciate your comments!
