The dumb ones are the ones who stay in like 14 years and say they got out because of worsening conditions. Actually, most of those guys, if you run a check on their records, had a couple of skeletons. No one gets out at 14 for "Clintonian" reasons...usually they get chaptered out for being fat, drugs, infidelity, or PT failures...
Hmmh...your story sure doesn't match up. You got out because of Clinton's follies, and you mentioned stress cards, which were introduced in 1997, I believe. That means you got out around 1997-2001, when Clinton's shenanigans made the military a bad place...and you did 14 years. This means that you joined around 1983-1987...
I wonder what great wars we were in during that time, especially since you claimed to be in COMBAT UNITS and implied that you were in a real COMBAT UNIT like infantry or armor. Let's see, there was Grenada, but you weren't Airborne, so I doubt you were part of the 82nd or 75th. There was Panama, but again you weren't airborne so unless you were in the Bayonet Division, you weren't there WITH A REAL COMBAT UNIT. The Gulf is certainly a possibility, but your tone suggests that you went through some hell and back. 100 hours in the desert shooting up demoralized Iraqis was certainly not hell and back...
