This book should be a textbook in the public school system.
I don't think you can legislate a solution to poverty;
however we can at least educate people to the reality of the current state of the american dream. I honestly can't remember anything useful I learned in school. If they had taught some reality based courses like money mgt. and maybe even TA or something people might be alot better off. Also I feel that there is not enough on the job training offered to people anymore. Millions of tech jobs have been created and millions more tech workers will be needed in the next five years. A person does not need a computer science or a mathmatics degree to be a network engineer or MIS person. Many disadvantaged people could fill these jobs with a little training, but many of them will be filled by imported workers with H1-B visas. Not only will this not help these Americans near term, but in the long term we end up exporting our technology and knowhow.
