Prices of 128Mb DRAMs Tumble to Below US$3 Level
June 4, 2001 (SEOUL) -- As the global chip market continues to weaken, the value of 128Mb DRAMs swung under the US$3 per unit level on May 29.

Prices of 128Mb SDRAMs (PC-100 model) dipped to US$2.85-2.95 per chip, while the value of 64Mb DRAMs also fell to around US$1.35-1.45 per unit.

Korean chipmakers are expected to suffer significant decreases in sales and profits due to the sagging global market.
