Sam, thank you so much for the link. LCI is mainly a long distance carrier and yet they are producing DWM systems that deliver speed of well over 150 Gigabits/second. By comparison, CIEN's present systems operate at up to 40 Gbits/s. Both LCI and CIEN buy their components from Alcatel to produce their respective DWM systems.
Gee, I'm beginning to wonder if we should form a venture, buy parts from Alcatel, LU, and Nortel, assemble the parts, and heck, let's infringe on Pirelli's patents and produce our own DWM equipment. Take the company public, and we'll each walk away with a few hundred million dollars. <g>
