Put it together with this:

Data from the last minimum wage increase reveal that 58% of the benefits went to low-income working families in the bottom 40% of income distribution.

The point is we're not talking about a majority population of pimply faced teenagers living at home while attended school and working for a few bucks to buy beer and DVDs. We're talking about a population that looks very different.
