Dan, I really doubt it. AMD's got a real winner with the Athlon processor, and I think that it is a processor which will allow AMD to continue to make money rather than lose it. The Athlon is not, however, going to keep up with the Northwood. Intel will be able to ratchet up the frequency on the P4 too quickly with the Northwood for AMD to keep up with the Athlon, and the K8 chips have already slipped out once. The Northwood Pentium 4 has the potential to be the next Pentium 2 in terms of market dominance...
