That's because you tacked "head of household" to one of your sample figures and claimed that as totally representative of that group. I've seen 40% on other reports as single. Your statistics also fail to distinguish seniors and people on work leave from institutions from your adult sample group, some of whom are not supporting children. Have fun with tacking on a descriptor to that group that works for your argument.
