I love the way the liberals aided by their cohorts at the LA Times, NY Times and Washington Post keep harping about the outrageous prices the energy companies are charging California. And of course they blame Bush and Cheney for having had the unmitigated gall to work in the energy industry. What they barely mention is that, half the time the companies aren't even getting paid at all, and almost all the time they would not have even sold them the energy in the first place if regulations didn't compel them to do so. When you are selling goods to bankrupt companies you better charge a huge premium because you will be lucky to get 20 cents on the dollar.

You can't mix capitalism and socialism, but California is going down trying. Take note what happens when you turn the reigns of govt. over to ultra-liberals. Also take note that Greenie mentioned the last three recessions were preceded by a large spike in energy prices. If a recession does come (are you listening American Spirit) the blame should be firmly placed on pandering politicians who constructed a web of regulations that made it nearly impossible to make a profit supplying energy for the low prices Americans enjoyed for so many years - while people in Japan in Europe were paying double.

Personally, I want to buy a house and am hoping all these problems will burst the real estate bubble here. Still got the best weather on the planet...just the worst politicians.
