Kap,<<<Intel is bombing 2-way server prices. $599 for a new (not a refurbished) server. In today's Oregonian a half page add on page A8: Gateway 6400 Server Intel Pentium III Processor 933MHz (supports up to 2 processors) 128MB PC 133 ECC SDRAM 9GB Ultra 160 SCSI (7200 rpm) Integrated SCSI, Ethernet and Graphics HP OpenView Event Manager 3-yearWarranty 3-year on-site service.>>> What makes this configuration a server? It doesn't even look like a PC. It doesn't have monitor, keyboard and/or mouse. It doesn't have any software to allow it to do anything. I know a server when I see one. My 12 year old home schooled neighbor put together a server with a 386PC, Novell netware, NIC cards, cables and connectors and 3Com hub. This configuration (in the Oregonian) doesn't look like anything close to becoming a server. What's the story? Mary
