OTTAWA, June 4 /CNW/ - Sprint Canada Inc., a subsidiary of
Call-Net Enterprises Inc., (TSE: CN and CN.B) today announced that it has entered into a $48-million contract to
develop a virtual contact centre service featuring intelligent contact management technology for Human Resources
Development Canada. Sprint Canada currently provides HRDC with national long-distance services, supported by an
enhanced Web-based management information system.

Under the new contract, Sprint Canada will design, engineer, implement, operate and maintain the virtual services linking
21 Human Resources Development Canada contact centres from coast to coast to the intelligent contact management
technology, using Sprint Canada Inc.'s national fiber network.

"We are delighted that Sprint Canada was selected to provide this critical service to HRDC," said Philippe Sicotte, Vice
President, Sales and Marketing, Eastern Canada. "We believe our expertise and our leading edge intelligent contact
management technology will enhance HRDC's customer service relationship.

Installation of the system will commence in June 2001 and will be operational in December 2001. Integration of the various
advanced systems will be implemented by the Sprint Canada team, in collaboration with its partners already associated to
the original RFP (request for proposal): Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks and Unisys.

Sprint Canada provides a full range of cost-effective services to governments and their agencies and businesses across
Canada. Services include fully managed long-distance, toll-free, network IVR (interactive voice response), intelligent
call-management and enhanced Web-based management information systems, high-speed access, IP-VPN (Internet
Protocol-Virtual Private Network), and Frame Relay service.
