Does anyone know if ITG3 can be ported to other platforms? for example, would it work to perform 3 cosine transform before encoding into MPEG-2 for VOD applications via cable and satellite?

I think this tech is the right path - piggybacks on existing technology and players - complimentary rather than competitive. Much like Dolby Noise Reduction for digital video.

If it works with MPEG-2 streams then we could have a blockbuster on our hands here. VOD is heating up and bandwidth remains the key limiting factor.
