<< Does anyone know if ITG3 can be ported to other platforms? >>
As I understand it it can, TC, but would it would be much easier if the wireless streamers used the Real or Windows player platforms. Would have to be rejiggered otherwise...but same effect. It is a root technique, and therefore can piggyback....which is mighty important to tech survival in shifting sands, as you point out.
My opinion, FWIW. Broadband convinces me again streaming will be mammoth someday. And that ITG is quite real. They stream very close to as well at 160 full screen as all the others who use 375.For all the reasons we have discussed often, that should be a very valuable patent when ad money FINALLY moves into streaming. And the huge popup ads which are everywhere I go nowadays are obnoxious. I not only close em instantly, but actually hold a grudge against companies that advertise on them...lol. Surely I am not alone in that feeling. Streaming ads on the other hand are inoffensive and meld nicely with the content. Advertisers are bound to figure that out someday too.
But the financial situation is dire. They are really rolling close to cliff's edge. However, in my opinion, they can, if they must, choose to sell much of the royalty stream with ADS. That would not bring the numbers speculated, but really ought to bring 70 million or more. Enough to clear the debt and buy time. Time for potential JV partners to eyeball the new, debt free, pure play. Time for the market to get romantic about streaming companies' potential again. So, for my part, some hope still flickers. |
