We be going back to 19 and 70. I was a young man then. Even in those days they painted the power lines green to match the trees.

The GI fishing ponds were stocked with trout. They also had some huge Northern Pike that got big by eating the trout. You could keep the stocked trout but not a Northern because it was in the stream that was dammed or the eggs got in the pond from birds. The Northern were German fish. I did find out that they had no bowfishing regulations as there were no bow fisherman. I had my 55 pound recurve that I spent 6 weeks making sent over. No string as that violated postal regulations but the arrows were ok. I made a string out of several layers of dental floss. I ate some of those big Northerns, a few of the big rabbits and tiny deer.
