Elite IDF Units were briefed Sunday for search-and-destroy missions against all known terrorist activists in the territories Reserve troops have been called up and emergency supply depots have been opened for them. The Israeli Air Force launched a massive "readiness exercise" without warning on Sunday. They announced that "the exercise" will last for several days and apologized for the many sonic booms. Israel warned Syria, Iraq and Egypt to not make any aggressive moves toward Israel. Egyptian, Syrian and Iraqi Air Forces have been placed on full alert. The highway that by-passed Jerusalem and allowed Palestinians to freely commute between Ramallah and Bethlehem has been plowed up by the IDF. All of these developments are ominous. We may see a quick, devastating war in the region much sooner than anyone expects. In addition, Sharon warned Russia and Syria that if they go through with their arms deal that includes five extremely high altitude MIG-25RS reconnaissance planes and the deadly A300 Anti-aircraft system, they will attack before they can be delivered.
