Re:End of the year. NVidia is saying 18-24 month delay to get their latest core into a chipset. This may be optimistic, reference Scumbria for the reasons.

I'd be willing to bet it's a marketing decision, and that, if they wanted, they could substitute in the geforce3 core within 6 months of beginning the work. It's a very modular portion of the northbridge (think: clean, narrow interface ) and they've already developed the geforce3 core (think: released, debugged library module). Just a "wiring job" remains. No way it's 18-24 months of engineering.
