Hi all; Another prereview of the Nvidia nForce:

NVIDIA nForce Preview
Josh Walrath, Penstarsys.com,
I am convinced that NVIDIA is going to eventually try to take over the world.
...
The nForce chipset is a radical new design that looks to revolutionize the industry, as well as force other chipset makers to compete at this lofty level.
...
The memory controller is quite advanced, and looks to be a significant step up from the AMD 760 and other DDR enabled chipsets. The most impressive feature of the new memory controller is that it can support both 64 bit and 128 bit memory busses.

...

Performance Expectations
The performance of this chipset looks to be phenomenal. It is truly a next-generation core logic product that is well beyond the curve compared to other competing products. Intel, VIA, ALi, and SiS have nothing in the foreseeable future that could compete with this product in terms of advanced features and overall performance.
...

Conclusion
NVIDIA is going to take over the world. So far reports on this chipset have been very positive in real world settings, and the overwhelming specs that NVIDIA included in this product are mind-boggling! This product is literally 2 years ahead of its time, and NVIDIA was able to complete it in slightly over a year. This is not bad for a company with no prior experience in the core logic market.
...
This looks to be an amazing product, and a golden opportunity for NVIDIA to continue to grow and expand its market base. Add to that the expected 6 to 8 month release on new products, and NVIDIA could very well revolutionize the core logic chipset and dominate it with highly advanced products. Intel, VIA, SiS, and ALi had better beware.
