Hello mr mark,

I have a problem that I hope you or someone in the group can help me with. I have an older Dell P-200 that I am trying to set up for my wife to use the internet. I formatted the hard drive to get rid of the junk and installed Win 98se and Netscape. Everything worked OK before the format, but now when trying to dial out I get an error message. I have talked to the ISP tech folks several times but they say everything is OK on their end.
It seems there is a hardware conflict concerning a PCI Serial Controller and I can't seem to find a driver for it.
The modem seems to be set uo OK. Can anybody tell me what a PCI Serial Controller does?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Clay M.
