Another outrage from a California democrat and the typical outrageous silence in its aftermath:

But what did happen just last week is that a white Democrat, Rep. Pete Stark of California, attacked a black Republican, Rep. J.C. Watts, saying his children "were all born out of wedlock." As Roll Call, the Capitol Hill newspaper, notes, "Watts has five children, but only the first was born out of wedlock."

(Maybe Stark confused Watts with Mfume.) But we're wondering: Why haven't we read about Stark's ugly and outrageous behavior anywhere other than in Roll Call? Why isn't this a cause célèbre the way it surely would be if the parties of the men involved were reversed?
