If the answer to either of the above set of questions is "No", then you have no business preaching what you consider "religious facts for the good of humankind".

Not surprisingly, I would suggest that there is a rather strong inverse correlation between knowledge of other viewpoints and blind, bigoted, faith in one alternative as the one and only Truth. At the risk of being vaguely relevant ... oops, I suppose I am on the wrong thread for that ... there is no small parallel in theories about the market. It always amazes me how someone can look at something so complex and say "this one thing is the main organizing principle which controls all". Why not two? Why not ten? Why not a hundred? If anything, starting with the assumption that there are many factors makes the complexity and variation from any one principle that much more understandable.

While I am inclined to be tolerant of anyone's belief system, there are a couple of things I object to. One of the big ones is their belief system suggesting that it is a good thing to kill me because I don't share that system. Another is an insistence on pushing their point of view to the exclusion of all others, without respect of the others. If nothing else, this fails the politeness test. And, while I am happy to accept that someone chooses to accept a creed unquestioningly and without qualification, I would just as soon they did it somewhere else since it makes for rather boring conversation. To me, a mature faith is one that can consider other information and incorporate it.
