However, turnover was thin at T$8.92 billion. Taiwan's Ministry of Finance announced stimulus measures late on Monday to support the stock market and told local investors it was a good time to buy blue chips as a long-term investment. In a statement, the ministry urged local securities financing institutions to lower their margin loan rates after recent cuts of key interest rates to reflect the actual cost and boost market momentum.
