Prices of mining companies etc. have risen a lot in the last two years. So I'm wondering how much more. You certainly can make money or resource stocks but they aren't really buy and hold propositions IMHO. The stuff on organic growth, pricing power etc. will be true whatever happens I think. BTW I have 10% of my portfolio in the Colonial First State Global Resources Fund which I bought in February 1999. It's an Aussie mutual fund. But I'm not sure I'd put any more money in it now despite great returns in those two years.
