ACTV and Claritas Team on Interactive Advertising; Partnership Will Fuel Deployment of SpotOn(TM) in European TV Market
NEW YORK and AMSTERDAM, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- ACTV, Inc. and Claritas Europe BV, a leading provider of precision marketing solutions in Europe, today announced that they have agreed to collaborate on the development of interactive television advertising. ACTV is teaming with Claritas through its subsidiary Digital ADCO, a joint venture between ACTV Inc. (Nasdaq: IATV - news), Motorola (NYSE: MOT - news) and OpenTV (Nasdaq: OPTV - news) that markets the SpotOn(TM) targeted advertising product.
The partnership between Digital ADCO and Claritas Europe, a subsidiary of Dutch media and information giant VNU, will support SpotOn(TM) as it is deployed across Europe. Claritas' precise consumer information will allow Digital ADCO to identify, profile and target viewers with relevant commercials. In return, Digital ADCO will work with Claritas to evaluate viewer responses and develop new marketing opportunities in Europe.
Claritas Europe are specialists in the use of data, technology and industry expertise to help clients acquire and retain new customers and maximize cross- and up-sell strategies.
