address the points and queries raised, and persuade me that the secular are oppressed

I do not need to persuade you of anything. Your dismissal of the expressed feelings of others is your choice. Your projection of your own proclaimed experience so as to reject the concerns of others--that is your choice. In my opinion, your complacency is assisted by your bias. You may not think that equal rights to ones beliefs need (or OUGHT by principle) to be a codified value--but try to convince ONE religious group of that. Oh no, you would not. But if the world view is a secular one: "Oh! Persuade me they are oppressed!" No. You persuade me that their worldview is less worthy of written acknowledgemnet than the worldview of irrational/subjective religious groups. You persuade me that you have a valid reason for opposing the legal equality of all citizens. You persuade me why an agnostic cannot be a conscientious objector because his RELIGION is not sincerely believed. Explain to me why an atheist needs to be insulted in her country because her moral opposition to killing is considered invalid as not being a true RELIGIOUS belief. Why all the rationalization??
