Tony - an interesting observation:

In all of AMD's performance comparisons they will only compare Dual Athlon to Dual P3P systems. They do not compare them to Dual P4s. Also there are no industry standard benchmarks even against the P3s. No TPCC, and no CINT2000-Rate or CFP2000-Rate. In short, once again AMD is positioning their Dual Athlon as a good choice for old code but only against a non-Tualatin P3 and not to be compared to P4 especially if running modern code.
