I'd say CYBERKEN is again on top of things. Yup, they did a straight-line projection from known reserves and saw- -DISASTER! Problem was, they didn't consider that those very increased prices would (1) stimulate new exploration, (2) make sources economical that otherwise were not, and (3) stimulate conservation, including more efficient cars. And so their wonderful, complicated, computerized models were WRONG.

And I don't listen to Rush, so I can't comment on what he did or didn't say.
