little jibes with my experience My best friend in grammar school was Jewish. I only vaguely recall the first time she had dinner with us. The discussion about what food went on the table with what other food was awkward. Surely at some time in your life you were made to feel that you didn't fit in either because you were Jewish or maybe because you were studious or something else.
