I don't see CEO's and other wealthy execs lowering their compensation in order to generate more sales; in fact, I see the opposite, and in spades. Methinks that increasing sales isn't everything! Perhaps the desire to receive high compensation and still attain high sales is what motivated a few American corporations to use slave labor during WWII.
