JDN, Short term effects like the rise in CO2 levels are much more reason for concern because they are closely correlated to our use of fossil fuels. We can't do anything about the tilt of the Earth, but we can start conserving and changing over to renewables NOW if only the wrong wingers would get out of the way. There are many responsible companies like Shell, Texaco, Ford, etc. that recognize the problem, and are doing something about it, unlike Exxon who spends great sums of money pretending that there is not a problem. Obviously they have been successful in convincing many of the ditto-heads here that can't think for themselves, and have no regard for future generations.
