Even though I am a right-wing, conservative, Republican, that voted for Barry Goldwater for President, I consider Jimmy Carter to be a fine man, dedicated to doing good works, and a decent family man. It is a shame that he was not prepared to be President, and had some miserable failures during his administration. I did find it surprising that he, actually, endorsed Clinton for re-election but, that is simply partisan politics. I wish that all of the players in DC were more interested in the good of the nation, despite the party line, whichever it may be.
