<The USA is colonizing the world by buying from it and establishing companies such as QUALCOMM which is setting up businesses around the world [via licensing]. Colonisation [of a voluntary kind] is good. Look at how well off Jay Chen is as a result of the wonderful British who colonized Hong Kong in a selfless act of benevolence, saving it from a century of Chinese mayhem. > I hasten to point out that the USA colonizing the world is different from previous colonisations which tended to lead with military power. Now it's the shareholders of the companies in the USA which are doing the colonizing. We are all over the world. So we are colonizing ourselves, using the USA legal and military system to defend our investments in the USA which are colonizing the world. We pay those USA military and legal people by way of taxes on the companies we own. We don't get to vote in the USA, so if Americans come up with too many wacky political ideas, such as no electricity in California, or too much tax for bludging voters, we'll have to move our businesses to more alluring climes. Right now, I'm colonizing China [with CDMA via Samsung which pays QUALCOMM]. My grandparents colonized China [before getting the heck out when other prospective colonizers got too stroppy militarily - my parents kicked them out again]. Meanwhile, Chinese are colonizing Kiwiland [there are swarms of them here]. But my offspring are colonizing those incoming Chinese. We will co-opt their DNA to carry our DNA. Hahahaha!! It seems that everywhere is colonizing everywhere and everyone is colonizing everyone. We have lost our tribal roots. If we don't hurry, it'll be hard going to organize a good old-fashioned genocide.
