That's an old link CB. Since then, Clinton signed up to the restrictive trade on sheep. The WTO received the complaints and recently found in favour of the sheep sellers. No, there wasn't dumping or subsidized exports. nzherald.co.nz

It does sound funny to sneak sheep over the border! Usually, rustlers try to steal sheep and somebody sneaking them in cheap would be welcomed with open arms. Sheep eaters in the USA should be thrilled if Kiwis were stupid enough to subsidize exports. The USA should accept all such subsidies with open arms. The USA producers of sheep could go on to producing buffalo or emus if they can't compete with New Zealand.

Since there are about 40 million sheep in Kiwiland and only 4 million humans, it is quite a big deal to us if the USA with 280 million humans and not many sheep doesn't let us sell them to American sheep eaters.
