Karen mentioned something in another post which I entirely agree with, to wit: that the world would take a great leap forward if all religions dropped the obscene goal of prosyletizing, interfering, and forcing. I forget how she put it, so the above statement can be taken as solely mine.

People are free to think whatever they want. However, "society" should not be a channel for the supernatural thoughts of some--for the advancement and foisting of an unwanted agenda onto others. The conditions of life in the natural world, the world that is our birthright--these should not depend from the supernatural, arbitrary, and subjective madness of either the few, or of the many. Let society march to the tune of the natural voice--not to the disembodied.
