They must be all C-Cube chips.....

If the other OEMs in the world grew at the same rate, 2.2M units were manufactured. That leaves a wooping 2.9M chips that weren't built into players just from the first 3 of 4 months.

And if the other OEMs in the world grew at a lower rate (which is what I would have expected) then there's an even bigger pile of chips in the channel.

Hmm. Sheds more light on what has happened.

I don't think CUBE or ESS stuffed the channel. I think the channel stuffed itself. That's why the Chinese Government indicated it would put controls in place as you posted previously.

Hopefully we're fortunate in that the markets CUBE is in are markets poised for massive growth (if the would only start already).
It's not like PC audio, PC Modem or the 3D Graphics market...

Fundamentaly I think we're fine. Technically this stock sucks.
