hi gott you are welcome, as always, for the update heads up. <g> "I'm wondering what is different about new drivers. No site ever tells us." excellent point. new drivers can sure be weird, and not always as good as what you've got. my voodoo3 vid card is a perfect example. if i use the driver windows gives me for it, i'm okay. if i go to the 3dfx site and grab what they call the latest and the greatest driver, i have to uninstall it right away it is so bad. guess that's just one more reason why we need a computer learning thread, huh? :) mark
