Clearly, you accept, then, that the bible suppports pedophilia, as in the scriptures which I quoted you. You are making progress.
What then would prevent a group of like minded Pedophiles from setting up their own Island society and immediately declaring sex with children legal?
The question must be rhetorical. Surely, you can't believe that all ugly behaviour can be prevented? As my recent link to you demonstrated, it is being perpetrated in our midst every day by the servants of God--one out of ten of the protestant ministers if I recall correctly. Clearly then, if a group of these people bought their own island, they might indeed make such a declaration--and daily prayer and services.
But these are very subjective people, deficient in reason and compassion. The more important question is: how many reasonable and compassionate people would consider it permissable? Well, when considering the entire society, including those with minimal empathy and diminished reason--we always find a certain percentage of people who commit harm on others. All such people lack the combination of empathy and reason. Generally, they see other people as objects having the sole purpose of serving their needs and desires. Commonly these kinds of people are labelled as sociopathic or psychopathic, but the label is not important to the point I am making to you.
Keep in mind that when I speak of objective, reasonable, etc., it is understood that this can naturally only be a relative objectivity--as all humans are conditional and dependent. This is contrasted with the subjective relativity of the truly religious: those who refuse to insist that their beliefs meet logical standards, but are often willing to accept the most illogical and ugly propositions as "good"--in spite of the fact that they cause harm to others.
I have given you a great number of examples demonstrating this fact, including, most recently, this one:

Do you understand the difference, Greg, between the subjective beliefs of people who repudiate reason and embrace "beliefs" that have no grounding or justification in the natural world--and the objective beliefs of those who believe that human life is a precious commodity? Keep in mind, that the terms "subjective" and "arbitrary" often apply, as well, to people who do not follow a religion; so outgrowing religion is not necessarily synonymous with outgrowing evil. The people referenced in the above link would likely have been disgusting human beings, regardless of whether or not they had chosen the religious path. This must be kept in mind in all fairness to religion. |
