HYWY Corp. (CDNX: YHW), a developer of software solutions that
accelerate Java(TM) development productivity, today released the
inaugural versions of its Productivity Environment for Java,
POPE.J Basic(TM) and POPE.J Basic Plus(TM). The company also
announced it will preview its POPE.J Pro(TM) Edition at JavaOne
in San Francisco June 4 - 8, 2001.
POPE.J Basic, the freeware version of the product, is now
available for download at hywy.com. POPE.J Basic Plus,
priced at US$99, will also be offered for download free of charge
until July 31 as a special promotion marking the launch of the
company's flagship product, a productivity solution to reduce the
complexity of Java software development.

HYWY's Productivity Environment for Java is designed to
revolutionize the way businesses develop, test, deploy, and

cycle. POPE.J's object-oriented modeling tools allow business
decision-makers and application developers to map out
applications and automatically generate the required Java code.
HYWY's product supports persistent business objects running in a
high-performance object cache designed to integrate with leading
relational databases and application servers.
POPE.J Basic, the freeware version of the Productivity
Environment for Java, supports object modeling, generation and
regeneration of Java applets and servlets, a high-performance
object cache, and object persistence for text files. POPE.J Basic
Plus adds support for MySQL, a freeware relational database, and
Apache Tomcat, a freeware servlet engine. POPE.J Pro features
support for relational databases such as Oracle and IBM DB2 and
the iPlanet Enterprise Application Server. HYWY will preview
POPE.J Pro at the JavaOne conference in San Francisco
