You know I don't find myself often scratching my head on this one, but I am now. It's given up 60% of the gains it made from 5/24 to 5/30 and did most of that give-back in the past 3 trading sessions counting today. Makes me return to wondering why the big gain happened to begin with. When it falls apart like this, I have to think it was rumor that didn't prove out.

Now the question is just how far back it'll pull before resuming its usual pattern of trading sideways for a month or so.

On a seemingly unrelated front (since the stock hasn't typically responded to news), I see that they've announced Army Men for GBA (non-issue to me) and what looks like 2 new hires and a promotion. One of the new folks comes straight from ERTS (I'd like to see more of this happening) and another (David Maynard) is an original ERTS person but looks like he's been with THDO in some capacity for a while.

Maynard's hiring/promotion (the PR is really unclear on which -- it effectively says both) is one of those things that make you go "Hmmmmmm..."

I've always dismissed THDO's patents for an internet multiplayer model as something on which we'd never capitalize and likely have no intention of ever following through, but Maynard's early involvement in ARPANET makes me wonder if he might just be inclined to push forward with internet-based multiplayer gaming.

Anyway, thought Mr. Market dismisses it (and Mr. Market is always right), I personally like seeing employees coming over from ERTS and would like to see more of them do so.
