i see. well, check the Simmons report (oil in '73 vs. '00), Ken just posted the correct link. it shows by how much oil demand has risen since the 70's...not sure if it contains something akin to the flow chart, but you can probably apply similar percentages on the usage side, and on the input side, a lot less was imported back then, but you'll find those numbers in the report.
